Fractures around the Hip

Traumatic hip fractures are occasionally difficult to diagnose, a MRI scan my be necessary. This section details some of the uncommon atraumatic fractures that can affect the pelvis and femur:-

• Pelvic stress fractures
• Sacral stress fractures
• Femoral stress fractures
• Padgetic Fractures
• Apophyseal avulsions
• Transient osteoporosis
